Welcome to our blog. This is a way we can show our work to everyone. Alexandria and I take a piece of furniture that no one would want or would throw away and we breathe new life into the piece. Ezekiel 37 "Make these bones live again"

Chair Restoration
This is what the seats looked like before the restoration.
When I got he chairs the were a pretty bad shape. I removed the seats and had to sand the chairs down. They were wobbly, so I made a few extra hole on the inside of the chair to stabilize them better.
I then put wood filler in the hole and sanded the rough parts smooth.
When sanding, make sure you use two types of sanding paper. Make sure one is rough to remove any unwanted rough spots and to get the majority of the old paint off. The other is a high grit level. The higher the grit level the smoother it will be, the lower the grit level the rougher it will be.
For wood, you generally want to start with 120 to 200 grit level to smooth out the surface of the piece. To finish use 320 grit for a nice smooth surface. Also, the small indentations in the surface collect dust from sanding, so when you are finished with the 320 grit take a damp cloth and wipe down the entire surface. This will remove any unwanted dust and you will find that the surface may need to be sanded again. Repeat this process until the surface is smooth after the wipe down.

Antique Vanity
With this piece of furniture it was a little beaten up for being an antique. Some of the wood was coming off on the top of the drawer and on the back mirror. So what we had to do was use wood putty and sand it.
Then I painted with more of a Neutral color other than my more common Brilliant colors. I used white and gray on this piece. And then I decoupaged the top drawers with cute white blossoms. then with a finishing touch I put beautiful anthropologie knobs on it.
Antique Hutch
Hello, This piece of furniture I found on craigslist. I didn't Like the color so I had to sand it, I also had to feel in some parts with wood putty. When that was done, I painted it with a beach turquoise and blue-green paint. And the knobs are from Anthropologie. So what I'm Doing is putting my work out there so everyone can see. So if you have any constructive criticism or opinion's please let me know. Thank you for looking and taking the time for letting me know your opinion .
